About 3 months ago I was floundering in my network marketing quest. I had fallen victim to old school network marketing techniques that directed me to make a list of every person I knew and call them up to see if they wanted to get involved in my business. After I did this and still was not making any progress in my business, I said to myself, “Self, you have done this three times now and you have failed again miserably. Just get over it and stop trying to make this work”.

Today, I am back with more excitement and enthusiasm then ever before. Ultimately I wanted to use the internet to build my business but had no idea how I was going to go about doing that. There are many autoresponders out there for different levels of business so don’t pay an arm and a leg right away. Try these to get you started.

What is an email autoresponder anyways? It is an online service that allows you to set up automated emails that will be sent to your list of leads whenever you want. So for instance, you have a capture page where you are collecting names, email address, and phone numbers of your leads. An autoresponder connects with your capture page and pulls the leads from those pages into it’s database and then sends them emails that you have created when you have set them to be sent. For those of you who are not currently using an autoresponder, I strongly recommend having one. Saves you a ton of time!

Now for the top 3. You may be wondering how I determined the top three. I have studied many big earners in this industry and these are the three that they have recommended people start with. The reasons for these are simple. One, they are inexpensive to get started. For as little as $10 per month, you can have a good quality service. Two, these have a high delivery rate. So they get your emails to people’s in boxes without getting spammed.

It’s important to note that as your business grows you may need something more advanced. But I can guarantee you that heavy hitters start with these and I wouldn’t recommend them if I didn’t use them myself. So here they are…

GetResponse.com – I personally use this one and have found it to be more then awesome. I have yet to learn all of the additional options available to me.

AWeber.com – This service is a tiny bit more expensive to get started with but it’s the one I see most used by those in the industry.

EmailAces.com – Solid product with very high regard by some of the top list building experts out there.

So there you have it. Make sure to check each out and determine which of these is best for you.

Leads. If you are new to network marketing, you should know that it’s absolutely imperative that you get leads. For those of you who have been in network marketing for a while, you know it’s not easy finding high quality leads. Poor quality leads are a waste of time and money. It’s like a crap shoot.

Here are 3 tips on getting higher quality leads.

1. Social Media

There are many social networks out there and within these networks you will find groups that are dedicated to specific industries. For instance my Linked In account allows me to associate with Groups. I am hooked up with groups that are interested in network marketing. I communicate with them by telling them about new products that I found helpful or I tell them about my blog posts. This drives people to my blog articles and then to my capture pages.

2. Capture pages.

These are very important. When your drive traffic to your capture page, you are on the spot! This is your big chance to give them compelling enough information to make them want to enter their name and email (cause then they know you have them) to request further information that you offer. Network marketers are not dumb. They know once they enter their email they are going to start receiving emails regarding some product or service you offer. If they are willing to do that, you must give them something they think is worth while. I have a system that is proven to deliver quality capture pages. They have been written by professionals. 3. Autoresponder Emails

All network marketers are busy. You want to be busy working with people who are interested in building business with you. If you were able to get a quality lead or two, but were unable to convert them, keep them in your loop and you can do this with the autoresponder. For those of you who have visited my blog since yesterday, you may not have been able to get to my site. I was pretending to be a programmer yesterday and started cleaning house in my back office when “WHHHHAAAAMMM”. No website. Yikes.

Below is an article about a recruiting tool I have recently researched. I have seen the free video offered at the end of the article, and would recommend it to all of you who are struggling with recruiting your leads.  The tool helps conquer issues with finding it hard to talk to prospect on the phone.

I wasn’t getting anywhere with my business, basically sponsoring one or two every now and then. But then I found something that changed the way I talked to prospects forever. Basically think of it as if you were the manager interviewing to hire a new employee. By changing the way that I approach the conversation and the attitude that I have in the conversation, I am now not getting hung up on. I am sponsoring more than ever. Prospects are actually thanking me for the conversations that we have. Sponsoring and talking to prospects doesn’t have to be hard, frustrating, or filled with rejection. All you need to know is how to do it the right way, the fun way, from someone that knows how to do it and do it well. Using anchor text is a useful technique that gives your site higher visibility to search engines, and it can be a great way to direct your reader to other articles or an affiliate link. For instance in this sentence “Article marketing is a powerful tool for creating traffic.”, the words “article marketing” are underlined. This is the anchor text that I have linked to an article submission software that I am an affiliate for (Automatic Article Submitter). The key to is use words that will direct your reader to other articles that will benefit them.

To create anchor text, first choose which text you want to link to other articles or affiliate links. If you are writing this article in your blog, you will have to wysiwyg or use HTML. If you are using a Wordpress blog, you will see in the article writing window a small icon that looks like a link in a chain. Simply highlight the word or words you want to anchor and click on the link icon. Type in the url of the location you want to link to. Be sure to use http:// in your address.

If all works well, you should be able to hover over the link after you have published the article and see the link in the lower left hand corner of your browser. For some of you this may seem overwhelming and that’s ok. If you would like help setting a few of these up, I would be glad to help you.

Writing articles about topics that you have experience in is a very effective way to spread the word about your blog or website to targeted readers. There are alot of important techniques that won’t be covered here that must be considered when looking at the amount of traffic generated for any article. What I would like to explain here is the process I have used and it has increased the traffic to my blog 847% in the last month.

The first and probably most important is the actual topic you choose to write your article about. Make sure the headline uses keywords, solves a problem for someone, and is a quick read. With the speed of life today, it’s better to get straight to the point rather then beat around the bush.

Secondly, write your article. Make sure you do all the basics like spell check and add in some anchor text (see How to Add Anchor Text). Anchor text is a great way to get higher quality search rankings, and it allows you to drive your reader to places that will benefit them even further. Also, make sure the content is useful to your target audience. It’s important to have the article be at least 250 words and have the basic structure. Tell them what you are going to tell them, tell them, and then tell them what you told them.

OK, now that you have your article written, post it to your blog or website.

Lastly, start telling your target market about your article. If you are a member of a social networking site like LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, etc, proceed to that site and find groups that would be interested in the article you have written. For instance, when I am done writing this article I will go to my LinkedIn website and tell all my network marketing groups about my article. I make a post describing BRIEFLY (it’s important not to tell everything, just a taste) about my article and the provide a link to my blog to read the article.

I encourage you to get involved in 1 or 2 social networking sites at the most and be sure to join as many focused groups as you can. Then everytime you write an article that pertains to that group, just follow this sequence of steps.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed with all of the different options available to network marketers who choose to use online venues to build their primary MLM business. Affiliate marketing, pay per click, content marketing, social networks, twitter, bookmarking, article marketing, and the list goes on and on. The good news is, this stress and confusion happens to all of us at one time or another. But don’t worry, it’s going to be OK!  Network marketers are naturally driven people and most often have the stick-to-it attitude to succeed. What often happens is these well intentioned intelligent souls are unsure of which direction to go first. The key to succeeding in network marketing is to have a system in place that allows you to build your business and create cash flow while you sleep. Really. No kidding!

A good system will bring people into your sales funnel and strategically walk them through to the end. What’s this got to do with the different strategies listed above? What’s the end? Well, the end is where the prospect either purchases a product you offered via affiliate links or joins you in your primary MLM company. This may sound almost too good to be true? Well, it is sort of.  Before this system can benefit you, you have to drive visitors to your capture pages or blogs. That is where all of the techniques mentioned above come in. Which type you choose is really up to you. Some are free and some are not. Mike Dillard does an awesome job of teaching which of these strategies works best in his book Magnetic Sponsoring. When I read this book, it took me to a new level of understanding in regard to network marketing online.

So in summary, the options are endless and can easily become overwhelming, but I encourage you to find a mentor, read everything you can get your hands on about attraction marketing, and be patient. Remember Rome wasn’t built in a day, nor will your multi-million dollar business. But if you stick with the winners, you will win!
